Another Fun Personal Branding Photo Shoot with TC
There’s something special about working with someone over the years, getting to know them, and finding that perfect rhythm. For me, that someone is the incredibly talented TC Cassidy, a country music star who never fails to bring her unique blend of grit and grace to every shoot. Over the past four years, Tan and I have done several photoshoots together, but this latest one is, hands down, my favorite.
From the moment we met up at Stick Bar in Port Macquarie, I knew this was going to be a memorable photo shoot. The team at Stick Bar generously let us use their gorgeous space before opening hours, giving us the perfect backdrop to start the late afternoon shoot. Tan, ever the professional, brought her A-game, and I couldn’t help but crack jokes to try to ease the mood and get her to relax. Tan is super serious and always tries not to smile or look at the camera, but I see that as a challenge. Our shoots are always filled with laughter, and I often find myself thinking, "How do we even manage to get in the serious shots?"
After capturing some amazing shots at Stick Bar, we decided to take a spontaneous walk around Port Macquarie. It’s one of the things I love most about personal branding shoots—finding those hidden gems that just feel right. We’d glance at each other, and with a simple “yes,” we knew we’d found our next spot.

Starstruck at Miss Lucy's
As all good things must, our shoot eventually wound down, but not before ending it in true TC Cassidy style—with a drink at Miss Lucy’s Bar. Of course, I couldn’t help myself and snapped a few more photos as we sipped on our drinks. The light was just right, the vibe was relaxed, and Tan looked every bit the star she is. The owner of Miss Lucy's was absolutely star struck. I thought she was excited to see me when we walked in as I'd done a shoot for Miss Lucy's a while back capturing their menu, turns out Tan was the highlight, not little ol' me. I promised I would tag Miss Lucy's - oh and if you haven't tried the food there that's an error!
Despite my cool online presence (yes I wrote this myself) I don't actually drink whilst working. We had officially knocked off but sometimes I just can't keep my camera/s out of my hands. When you love your job you struggle with knock off time. Poor Tan was just trying to enjoy a cold one.
